Fish river canyon
The Fish River Canyon is estimated to be two million years old, and is Africa’s largest canyon. It is situated in the South of Namibia, and the second most visited tourist attraction. It is big and beautiful with a length of 150km and is 500m deep. Flooded in the late summer, the river is seasonal and only flows in the rainy season. There is a really popular site you can visit at the edge of the canyon cliff. Here you can hear the wind slicing through the canyon. This is a stunning site to visit, and will leave you with beautiful memories of the canyon. The fish river also flows into the Orange River.
